3.1.3. Security

SharePortals provides a highly secure environment to ensure your organisation’s data is kept completely safe at all times.

The SharePortals web application itself is either hosted by Betasoft in Microsoft Azure Datacentre locations, or hosted by your organisation (see the Architecture section for further information on the hosting options). Azure is a highly secure cloud platform with built-in DDoS protection. More details on the security features in Azure are available here.

All of the data used by SharePortals is stored in Microsoft’s SharePoint Online service. This means that your organisation’s data is secured by Microsoft’s policies and practices, including 2048-bit key SSL/TLS connections by default and best-in-class encryption.
