Once the Outlook Add-in ins installed you can access it from the Outlook Toolbar. Select it and it will open in the right-hand side panel.

If the email is not associated to an existing contact in SharePortals

Select ‘New Contact’, complete the contact form and press Save:

The add-in will now show the details of the newly created SharePortals Contact:

The four buttons at the bottom of the Contact Card allow you to:

  1. Edit the Contact details in-line
  2. Save the email and attachments in SharePortals with configurable settings
  3. Save the email and attachments in SharePortals with default settings
  4. Open the SharePortals Contact form in a new browser tab

No related records exist:

Select ‘Save’.

When a related records exist and you wish to save an email and its attachments against one of those, select ‘Save to a Related Record’, select a Record Type and then a record below. When you select ‘Copy attachments to the record documents list’ the attachments are saved to the dedicated documents list and not just as part of the email. ‘Save selected attached files’ will allow you to select attachments you want to save and not others.

Select ‘Save’.
